Boccia is one of the world’s fastest growing and most inclusive Paralympic sports.

Boccia Australia is recognised by BISFed (Boccia International Sports Federation) as the organisation responsible for Boccia in Australia.

Boccia tests a players degree of muscle control and accuracy to throw, kick or use a ramp device to propel leather balls, on a hard flat surface, as close as possible to a white ball which serves as the jack (target).  Athletes can compete in team and individual events.

Boccia is for players with disabilities that affect motor skills. 

Boccia is widely played as an educational and recreational game and there is competitive opportunities at national and international level having made its debut as a Paralympic sport in 1984.
