Anti-Doping

Adopting the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy

Instrument of Adoption by the Board of the sport

All athletes and support personnel should be aware of their responsibilities to comply with this policy

Under the rules of Boccia Australia, the Board of Boccia Australia adopted the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy, effective from 1 January 2021, and found here on the Sport Integrity Australia website as the anti-doping policy for the sport of Boccia Australia in Australia.

Sport Integrity Australia have an onoline e-learning portal and we encourage all athletes and support staff to complete the Anti-Doping Fundamentals course as a minimum.  This can be accessed via https://elearning.sportintegrity.gov.au/login/index.php

Ultimate responsibility for complying with the ADP falls on the athlete and we would like to ensure that all National level athletes (section 4.4 of the BA ADP) who need to use a prohibited substance or prohibited method for therapeutic reasons are aware that they need to apply to Australian Sports Drug Medical Advisory Committee (ASDMAC) for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) at least 30 days before the Athlete’s next Competition by completing the form at www.asdmac.gov.au with assistance from their doctor.
