Participation
One of Boccia Australia's strategic pillars is to GROW our Boccia Community. We want to inspire all our participants, players, officials, coaches and our broader boccia community to embrace the Australian Sports Commission, Sports Participation Strategy: PLAY WELL - where everyone has a place in sport: We will do this through;
- Developing new programs that deliver quality, fun, and positive sport experiences to increase participant numbers.
- Expand the places where Boccia is played to include a broader range of people.
- Remove barriers to participate for those people who enable and deliver our sport.
- Strengthen and expand grassroots competitions so there are more positive first experiences.
Purpose
Provide Boccia experiences to all people of all abilities from social to high-performance levels that are fun, challenging, and socially interactive within a connected Boccia community.
Pathway
This is the introduction level to Boccia. Where people can play and try boccia at grassroots level through a Come & Try or an activation. They would then join a program or club for social play and some matches. Learn to have a love of the game and build their boccia community.
