Boccia Australia’s (BA's) goal is to have incremental growth in the number of athletes, coaches, and ramp operators in our Paralympic Performance Pathway sport classes.(BC1,BC2, BC3 & BC4). To do this we need to ensure that our pathway for them is strong, is resourced and has the support systems in place so that they can perform at their best. Our Athlete Development Framework (ADF), along with Individual Performance Plans (IPP’s) and our Categorisation Framework (NACF) all underpin our What It Takes To Win (WITTW). All integral components of our overall Performance Pathway which contributes to our Integrated Strategy LA208+, the goals, targets and outcomes for success through to BNE2032.
The Boccia Australia ADF ensures that we are all clear about what it takes to progress through the Boccia performance pathway. To build and develop sustainable programs for continuous growth across the whole pathway for future success. And, for athletes, coaches, ramp operators, families, and support people to have a love of the game. It is our ‘guidebook’ to the levels of pathway development. To explain, prioritise and coordinate the factors that contribute to athlete development that will inform athlete categorisation. Our ADF is athlete centred, coach driven and system supported for the best outcomes.
