Governance & Strategy

Boccia Australia Incorporated (BA), formerly The Cerebral Palsy Boccia Australia Association Incorporated, was formed in 1993 to develop and manage the sport nationally. Boccia Australia and Paralympics Australia work together to provide a stategic direction for Boccia overseeing the development and implementation of the national strategic direction for the sport, covering fundamental areas such as community engagement, grass roots participation, athlete development and high performance.

BA is solely run by a volunteer Board with volunteers assisting with the day-to-day administration and operation of the organisation supported by a small number of paid staff and contractors.

The community engagement program of BA is supported by a large team of volunteers with roles ranging from coaches, sport assistants to referees as well as volunteers focused on promoting the sport in schools and to the relevant service providers.

The Board is focused on delivering the actions in the Boccia Australia Strategic Plan 2020 - 2024
