Boccia Australia is proud to announce that it has become a Duke 4Volunteering Partner with The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Australia.

Duke 4Volunteering connects young people completing their Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award with organisations offering volunteering opportunities. It helps young people find meaningful ways to contribute to their communities while developing valuable life and workplace skills, while giving not-for-profit and community organisations a way to connect with motivated young volunteers and grow their volunteer base.

As a Duke 4Volunteering partner, Boccia Australia recognises the valuable skills, experience and commitment Duke of Ed achievers can bring to our sport.

The partnership will also help communicate the volunteering opportunities available through boccia, providing young people with the opportunity to contribute to an inclusive sporting community while working towards completing the Volunteering Section of their Duke of Ed Level.

Volunteers play an important role at every level of boccia. They assist with competitions, programs and community activities, support athletes and help create more opportunities for people of all abilities to participate in the sport.

Becoming a Duke 4Volunteering partner reflects Boccia Australia’s commitment to supporting the development of young people and recognising the positive contribution they can make to our organisation and the wider boccia community.
