Boccia Australia’s Sport Development Coordinator, Charles Eriku, spoke to ABC Alice Springs around the excitement of introducing Boccia to Alice Springs. Charles went through the sport's rules and unique inclusive format for athletes with disability. The conversation gives a snapshot of Boccia’s growth locally, including the launch of official sessions, creative adaptations through our Activity Instructor program, specific to NT, and the opportunities being created for future stars aiming for the Brisbane 2032 Paralympics. With passion, Charles describes local talent and the potential for a lasting Boccia program, painting a positive future for the sport in the region. This continues the great work Charles has been doing in the Northern Territory.
