Daniel Michel Re-elected to World Boccia Athletes’ Committee

Boccia Australia congratulates Daniel Michel on his re-election to the World Boccia Athletes’ Committee for a second four-year term.

Dan’s re-election is a fantastic achievement and recognition of the valuable contribution he has made to athlete representation within the international boccia community.

The new Athletes’ Committee was elected in Seoul and will serve through to the 2030 World Championships. A strong turnout saw 140 athletes participate in the election, with 507 votes cast in accordance with the protocol outlined in the World Boccia Athletes’ Charter.

Dan and Argentina’s Stefania Ferrando have both been re-elected after previously serving on the committee. They will be joined by four new members, each bringing valuable skills and experience to the role.
