Published Mon 14 Mar 2022

Are you interested in trying the sport of Boccia?

Paralympics Australia (PA) are holding a number of multisport come and try days featuring the sport of Boccia.

Boccia is a sport that tests a competitor’s muscle control and accuracy, it is played from wheelchairs (or a seated position) and athletes throw, kick, or use a ramp to propel leather balls on a hard surface as close as possible to a white ball know as a jack. Players compete in team and individual events on equal level. Boccia was originally played by athletes with cerebral palsy, however, now includes athletes with other disabilities that affect the motor skills.

Boccia is one of the fastest growing Paralympic sports, it is also one of the most inclusive sports!
